Drink Ice Water!
Switching your daily dose of water (eight, 8oz glasses) to ice water can burn an extra 74 calories a day. That may not seem like much, but it adds up to a whopping 7.7 pounds of fat per year! Not drinking enough water can lead to sugar cravings, fatigue, irritability, and foggy thinking. Dehydration also slows down fat burning!

Dr. Anderson:
I have always been advised in the past to NEVER drink ice water, particularly with your meals, as it will solidify the fats in your stomach and slow down the digestive process. So, I drink a lot of hot tea and always drink my water at room temperature. Is this no longer true? I believe the information I am going on was received through research on acid reflux and stomach disorders.
Thank you,
Nancy Norris
I think drinking warm water is BETTER for your body as its closer to your internal temperature… this is the way of the Asians and look how skinny they are!
Christie,
Unfortunately we are not at a healthy weight.
Once, a healthy weight is reached I would agree in the long haul room temperature in a balanced healthy body at equilibrium is ideal.
We are using ice water to help rev up your metabolism to help you reach that point.
Room temperature water does not do that!!!
