It can be difficult to say goodbye…

| January 31, 2013 | 10 Comments More

It can be difficult to say goodbye to unconscious eating, over eating and overindulgence of any kind be it food, drink, or not enough sleep. For me, all I have to do is remember how I would feel the next day…fat, tired, and sorry that I succumbed to the unhealthy choices. Recall is a great defense! You too can make a conscious effort to get healthy.

THANK YOU! I am sitting here tonight needing to go to bed but just sitting here at the computer thinking about whether or not I should just eat and hang out and stay up late. UGH! I’ve had a great week and 1/2 and I don’t want to go back to what I was feeling like two weeks ago. I’m going to bed now so I can get up in the morning and go for my walk and have another day of health and CLARITY!

Now…is very difficult for me say goodbye for eating.

  4. This is so true. I have to remind myself that I must do mindful eating.

  5. Dr.A says:

Yes it is difficult but it is all about choice.
You can choose to eat what ever you want as a priority with the end result that you will head down the path to disease.
OR you can elevate being healthy and great energy and vigor as a more important goal and then making the secondary choices that supports that which is mindful habits of healthy eating.
    Its always your choice!!!!

This is so perfect! I was just talking to someone last night who was morbidly obese and could not commit to having food play a different role in her life. I want to send this to her. Thanks so much!

I had hoped there was more to this “article” than the short paragraph – you had me at the title – this resonated for me – clearly, there is something in my life, mind, behavior that finds gorging and overeating the thing to do – and I DO NOT WANT THIS FOR MY LIFE. Still, I am having a very hard time breaking from those creamy, sugary, snacky foods which pull me…I start the day full on medifasting – committed – 6 – 8 glasses of water, only medifast foods, but, I get home – and suddenly, it’s No Carb Left Behind…and the pantry just calls to me. I just bought an elliptical trainer – hoping that if I have a convenient place to exercise daily, in my home, I qwill go there instead of to the peanut butter, chips or ice cream. I often eat until I truly feel overly full and ill!

your thoughts will be appreciated. (And Dani Foster is my health coach)
